Abstract Smoked deer horn pendant

Description   Abstract Smoked deer horn pendant - This deer horn pendant has been hand carved from the deer button of a New Zealand stag. Width: 1.5 inches / 4 cm, Height: 2.35 inches / 6 cm Colour has been added by lightly smoking the pendant in an ordinary fish smoker. The natural color portions were protected from the smoking process and were then re-sanded and polished for contrast. It makes the carvings appear as if they have been made of bone and wood. The pendant has been "signed" by the artist. His initials are engraved into the reverse of the carving and it comes with a standard 54cm cord with a bone or horn toggle. It is also supplied in its natural surround with a leather backing.
