| Double Manaia deer horn pendant with Paua - This double Manaia deer horn pendant, with paua shell eyes, has been hand carved from the naturally shed deer button of a New Zealand breeding stag.

It was "signed" by the artist whose initials are engraved into the reverse of the carving and come with a standard 54cm cord with a bone or horn toggle. They are supplied in their natural surround with a leather backing. Note that the weight given below includes the surround. The pendant is also available as a single, at half the price.
The Manaia represents the carrier of supernatural powers - the spiritual guardian which protects the wearer from evil. It is traditionally depicted with the head of a bird, the body of a man and the tail of a fish, so creating a balance between sky, earth and the sea.
