From a family of Artisans Hazel Hunt's talent was recognised at an early age. Hazel studied Art in Rhode Island USA and there she began her career as a successful portrait painter.
When she returned to her home in Devonport, Auckland, she began a series of large oil paintings, her largest "The Patriot" which incudings 17 figures hangs in a private collection in Washington USA.
Hazels' passions are painting people and also painting fish.
Beautifully illustrated her fish include New Zealand's famous Brown trout, Snapper, and Hapuka.
