Peter Viesnik

Peter Viesnik is one of New Zealand's most experienced and talented glass artists. His career of over thirty years in the hot glass field has given him the privilege to study and work with a number of renowned glass masters, both in New Zealand and overseas. He has operated his own independent glass blowing studios, trained assistants and continues with his own production work.

His range of innovative paperweights, vases, bowls and other designs may be found in prominent galleries around the country and are noted for the use of distinctive colours and frequently include Dichroic glass which provides lustres and textures to his work.

The fluid versatility of molten glass continues to intrigue and encourage Peter to further exploration of this magical medium.
