Paua Blue Pearls

The Paua shellfish is an abalone (Haliotis iris). Found only in the seas around New Zealand, this mollusc eats algae and lives on rocks at depths of 1-10 meters, along the shoreline. Paua shell is the most colorful of all the abalone.

The Paua pearls have been farmed using a combination of pearling techniques to produce unique mabe pearls.
