New Zealand Native Kaka Beak Seeds

Description

New Zealand Native Kaka Beak Seeds - The name Kaka Beak comes from the shape and colour of the flower which looks like the beak of the Kaka, one of New Zealand's native parrots.

Kaka Beak (Clianthus puniceus rosea)

One of the few ornamentals cultivated by the Maori. Bright red flowers are held in groups from arching stems, well clear of the delicate fern-like foliage. Each flower holds copious nectar at the base, attracting nectar-loving birds. Wall shrub, climber, spreading shrub, 1-2 metres. Packet contains approx. 5 seeds.
